Last week's action items
- Stephen:
- send email to alias and post link to Web QA 2015: Year in Review blogpost
- send email to alias about app-security tool/process convergence
- done: internal alias *just for now*, due to mentioning specific people/teams (it shouldn't be sensitive, but I wanted to get the info out, for now); will post to the public mailing list once I have more
- update Buildmaster pageto take Krupa's spot
- done
Status updates
Meeting owner starts by giving a brief status update on what they've been working on, highlighting any releases, blog posts, blockers, etc. Once the update is complete, owner picks someone else to give a similar update. Repeat until everyone has had an opportunity to speak. This is entirely optional, and you are free to simply bounce to the next person. Notes are not taken.
Discussion items
- [stephend] Testing and enabling HTTP/2 is underway, starting with Input and SUMO:
- Input: staging, prod / SUMO: staging, prod
- Google Chrome is dropping SPDY support on May 15, 2016
- It won't help us with AWS-hosted apps/sites, for now, as CloudFront doesn't support HTTP/2
- [mbrandt] Socorro devs would like a hook exposed to kick off test jobs. What is the favored way? I see plenty of tasty Jenkins API wrappers including python-jenkins.
Goals Check-in - 1st and 3rd meetings, monthly
Read only
Add any notes for the week here that do not need to be discussed during the meeting.
- [davehunt] We have completed migrating from unittest-zero to standard Python asserts.
- [stephend] Both Jenkins instances are now on the latest LTS, 1.642.2
- [mbrandt] On a trial basis, API tests will live in http://github.com/mozilla/socorro/. The dev team was divided on whether they should live with the code base or exist in a separate repository for tests. This is big win.
Time off / Out-of-office
PTO and other time out of office for Firefox Test Engineering
- [davehunt] - October 26 - PTO
- [davehunt] - December 12-14 - Honolulu marathon
