Mozilla Mission
Brief
Create an easy to understand, attractive, "Dino Thought", to the Mozilla mission (manifesto), in the form of a pocket guide made of a single sheet of paper. Why a single sheet of paper? So that it helps keep costs of printing, as well as the amount of ink/paper needed to a minimum and to allow for easy distribution.
It is not for the use of the general public, but more for those community members who, once in a while, need a little aid to memory.Think of it as a promotion to the promoters not the promotees.
Prototypes
There are a few points of note when reviewing these prototypes. First is that they are just that. Prototypes. Therefore they may contain errors or potential missrepresentations of Mozilla's mission.
Second they are not final works of art, they do not represent the full potential of the project, the rather show off the ideas behind it.
Mark 1
This prototype was create more as a proof of concept rather than a viable resource that could be distributed widely. There were also some bigger issues to deal with in this version due to the background image, and potentially some of the text, being in breach of copyright.
Some of the main features of this proof were of course, the content and showing that it could be easily presented in a form that allowed for easy use, creation, and distrubution. There are also some blank spaces to allow for the insertion of images and extra text if needed.
All the photos of this version can be found on flickr, however it is not possible for you to make your own.
Mark 2
A visual update to the guide moving toward the more desired Mozilla Communities feel. The textual content has been remixed and condensed in a way that still represents Mozilla's mission for a better internet.
There are still no images in the booklet however, this is due to it being created by someone who, is not amazing with graphics design (FuzzyFox), and so no images were added to avoid spoiling the final finish. Even if it is still a prototype.

We are dedicated to promoting and preserving an open, shared, and innovative web. All for the public benefit.
We aim to promote our principles within the Internet industry, in full public disclosure.
We will deliver great consumer products, as well as use our assets (e.g. copyrights, trademarks, etc...) to help us in our mission.
Principles
The Internet is now an integral part of our modern, day-to-day lives. Being a key component in everything from education, to global communication, and even through to how our society as a whole develops and grows.
For this reason it should be open and accessible to all. As a public resource which can enrich the lives of not just a select few, but all individuals who use it, and the security of these individuals is fundamental. It cannot and must not be treated as optional.
Everyone has the right to shape their own experiences on the Internet. This means that those who help develop it must ensure that everyone has the ability to do so.
The effectiveness of the Internet as a public resource depends upon interoperability (e.g. protocols, data formats, content, etc...), innovation, and decentralised participation world wide.
Free and open source software helps promote the development of the Internet as a public resource, while transparent, community-based processes promote participation, accountability, and trust.
Despite all this, commercial involvement in the development of the Internet brings many benefits; a balance between commercial goals and public benefit is critical.
In short. Magnifying the public benefit aspects of the Internet is an important goal. Worthy of time, attention, and commitment.
Mark 3
A full review of the remixed textual content, a rebranding while keeping the Mozilla communities feel, and hopefull the addition of images into the booklet.
There are also to be some additions of testimonials to the booklet. Possible candidates for these are the "older" members of the community such as Mitchell Baker and Aza Dotzler.
