Domain of One's Own Meetup
Domain of One's Own (or DoOO) is a meetup that allows university students, faculty, and staff to register their own domain name and associate it with a hosted web space, free of charge.
- When: 9:00-10:00 PDT
- Where: We'll meet via Zoom for audio/video and will use an Etherpad for real-time chat and note taking for the event.
- What: We will have discussions about DoOO and the independent web; get to know others in the space; find potential collaborators; explore new and interesting ideas; create or update your domain; ask colleagues for help/advice!
We expect there will be students, teachers, designers, web developers, technologists, and people of all ages and ranges of ability from those just starting out with a domain to those running DoOO programs at colleges or even people running their own hosting companies.

Making IndieWeb Friendly WordPress Themes Workshop
The IndieWeb WordPress community is hosting a theme-raising workshop! (like an old barn raising).
- When: 9:30-11:30 PDT
- Where: Online/Zoom
- What: We will work/hack together to make some of the popular WordPress themes more IndieWeb friendly. We'll discuss methods for adding the necessary Microformats and best ways to indieweb-ify a WordPress theme. Bring your own favorite theme or work from one on a list!
- Cost: Bring your enthusiasm!
All levels are welcome! This will be a workshop/hack session. Beginners and those without coding experience are welcome/encouraged to attend. We'll help newcomers learn to tinker with some WordPress theme code.
If you don't have a GitHub account yet, you might create one beforehand and we'll show you how to use it for development, but even without it you can still do a lot with just a text editor.

The limit is 3 minutes per topic. It's like a lightning talk, but don't feel that you have to have slides in order to make a presentation. If you plan on showing a video, you need to contact the Air Mozilla team before the day of the meeting or you will be deferred to the next week. The meeting is streamed in a 4:3 format in order to allow for split screen. If your slides are 16:9 "widescreen" format, please indicate in the "Sharing" column below.
