Held Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 post-mortem last Wednesday. Tb 2.0.0.14 shipped with a bug which is annoying for people using per-user certificates over SSL connections bug 431819. We're trying to figure out what the right course of action is to remedy that.
Also have been doing triage for Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0.0.15.

Shredder a1 (AKA Tb 3.0a1) is about to leave QA has been signed off by QA and will soon be released. Onwards to a2!

- Bonsai upgrade (bug 399693) will be attempted again tomorrow night (now that bug 52573 is fixed)

- Firefox/Thunderbird 2.0.0.15 - Currently in triage. Considering an earlier release to fix a serious regression in Thunderbird.

- First ever QA Team Bug Bash was held on Tues, May 6th. The team verified 78 Firefox and core bug fixes, added 5 litmus tests, and updated 3 litmus tests.
- 290 FFX3/Core bug fixes verified in the last two weeks!
- 25 new litmus test cases added
- Added a Litmus test suite for keyboard regressions on Mac [marcia]
- Feature testing
- Security: Investigated automated eggplant security test false failures. [tracy]
- Places: bug triage, verified 10 P1/p2 blocking bugs, wrote new litmus test cases, cleaned up distribution of Litmus test cases between BFTs and FFTs. Updated Places Test Tracking wiki page with current automated tests and status.[tracy, ctalbert]
- Accessibility: Worked with Alexander Surkov to fix a bug causing hangs when accessing lists. See bug 431802 [marcoz]
- Protocol Handling: Addressed comments 14 and 15 in bug 426260 regarding mailto: handling. Added a UTF-8 handling test.
- L10n: tested translated product pages. [stephend, tchung]
- Leak testing: found 13 new bugs.
Test Tools
- Minotaur: Worked on patch for buildbot integration with help from Robcee. This will allow automated L10n testing as part of the unit test infrastructure. [ctalbert]
- Code Coverage: Started Windows and Mac builds using bullseye code coverage tool. We are working on some code coverage/test coverage analysis in the platform area. [ctalbert]
- Gristmill: Made progress investigating and planning this XUL test automation app [ctalbert, mikeal]
- Sisyphus (automated JS test harness): modifyed Sisyphus to support running valgrind on any of the tests through the setting of an environment variable
Web Dev testing [stephend]
- Verified 11 bug fixes for mozilla.com update.
- Plan to test and ship Remora 3.4.2 this week.

- Accessibility [marcoz]
- Attended German Web 2.0 Accessibility Conference called Einfach für Alle - Konzepte und Zukunftsbilder für ein Barrierefreies Internet, loosely translated “Simply for all - Concepts and Visions for an accessible internet”. See Marco's blog post.
- Attended SightCity in Frankfurt, Germany. See Marco's other blog posting.
- Grant work: Investigated grants in the areas of 1) Common accessibility patterns in HTML coding, and what could be converted into standard proposals for HTML 5 and 2) ChatZilla enhancements
- QMO
- Completed visual redesign of the QMO site. See Jay's blog post.
- We had a test day on Fri, May 9th. The topic was general trunk nightly testing. 151 test cases were run by community members. See the results.

- Net Applications republished their April market share report. They issued an alert and clarification on their homepage. April’s worldwide market share percentage for Firefox had been reported as 16.96%; it’s now 17.76%.
Evangelism
- Places documentation reorganization and wrap-up work continues to progress.
- We now have a test server running MDC on MindTouch Deki Wiki. It's not quite ready for folks to play with yet, but should be in the next few days. Expect an announcement regarding that soon.
- For The Record post clarifying some of the more...breathless reporting of the Vietnamese Language Pack issue.
- Two community surveys are launching this week: one on about:mozilla newsletter and a second on FISL conference participation

Webdev, Add-ons, AMO
- SFX and MozParty moving along, on schedule for Fx3
- Breakpad/Socorro - fixes for infinite loops, failure tracking and other processor issues staged, updates to be pushed this week (see bugs)
- Socorro aggregate table patch will be staged this week (bugs bug 426386, bug 426389, bug 426410)
- SUMO performance has improved dramatically over the last week (again), djst has more info on schedule/roadmap - thanks to laura, nelson and les for their work on this
- Rounded up pending blocklist requests, marked some as invalid - please read Blocklisting info before filing requests
- AMO 3.4.2 code freeze is tonight, team has been working on getting through our second 3.4 milestone

Foundation Updates
- Grants and related activities
- With support from people who've designated donations for Bugzilla, the Mozilla Foundation is funding a new project to be undertaken by Everything Solved, Inc. As a major Bugzilla contributor and customization expert, Everything Solved will survey large corporations and organizations already using Bugzilla in order to determine what the most desired enhancements and changes are. This will help guide the Bugzilla project for future development, and will also begin a standardized and organized list of feature ideas from the most visible users of Bugzilla.
- Legal issues
- Frank is getting a final round of legal review for the proposed new Mozilla committer's agreement.
- CAs and related issues
- Frank held discussions with various parties about how to resolve issues with disabling email trust for certificates issued by DigiNotar.
- Public communication
- David participated in a planning meeting for www.mozilla.org changes and worked on related issues; for more information see his recent blog post.
- Conferences.
- Various members of the Mozilla accessibility team attended SightCity 2008, with sponsorship by the Mozilla Foundation; Marco Zehe wrote a blog post with more details.
- Zak prepared for upcoming conference appearances already scheduled, and proposed some new conferences for our consideration.
- Upcoming activities
- Zak will be doing a keynote at the eLiberatica 2008 conference (May 30-31, 2008, in Bucharest).
- The Mozilla Foundation will be a sponsor of the Personal Democracy Forum conference (June 23-24 in New York). (Frank is planning to attend if possible.)
