Based on Mockups Alex and Liz will lead a discussion on Mozillians.org privacy and legal features.

Great conversation and lots of potential issues raised.

In some countries, Having a form doesn't mean you can use the data.

So, you need to opt-in.

Use Cases for Mozillians data and specifically email:

• search (name, IRC handle, email)
• email users about Phonebook issues/updates

System will not SPAM or send email for other reasons.

Mozillians should not replace Responsys.

Mozillians.org and Responsys both have user's email address.

Users will make their own lists and email groups of people outside of this system.

We need to think about conflicting email preferences across systems (Mozilla.org and Mozillians.org)

• Events - notification from System A and System B

Eventually we need a cohesive preferences management system and we should work hard to respect those preferences.

Privacy - Can a user Spam people with invite screen? - Only vouched users can invite - CANSPAM, limit number of email addresses accept in invite screen - Poland - Companies can't email w/o their consent -- Email should come from the user (instead of no-reply@mozillians.org) -- Users should be able to customized message for invite

Copyright/Trademarked images for profile images -- we should not police -- we would do take down

Critical Path: If a task misses it's deadline by a day, then it slips the ship date by a day.
