Notes
- PBackground
- still awaiting mrbkap's review
- janv poking around a bit
- bent is using it for async IDB
- IPC logging discussion
- Ted Clancy (new guy on Gaia SystemsFE team; welcome!) is working on improving IPC message log and making it easier to get on devices
- this will not be turned on by default due to it slowing things down
- Async IDB
- baku make TransactionThreadPool not need DOM objects any more (they all live on the child side)
- parent side only has DB things (ex. sql filenames, transaction IDs)
- quotamanager needs similar work; janv is working on this
- edge cases are slowing things down; c'est la vie
- 2 goals this week: bent moving async idb along, mrbkap reviewing PBackground
- baku make TransactionThreadPool not need DOM objects any more (they all live on the child side)
- Why don't we have notifications on IDB changes?
- people didn't agree on a spec
- it could slow things down a *lot* (depending upon level of change notification)
- unclear who would use it, etc.
- Hsinyi: CDMA and LTE feature work going on in conjunction with partners
- Jan working on converting asm.js cache to PBackground
- baku working on DataStore service in C++; building upon Gene's ongoing DataStore wrapper (khuey involved here too)
- Work week topics, next big thing
