Pootle update
- Making first release for new Web release on the Django platform
- Somewhat painful, but short-term is stabilizing a release for existing users of Pootle with good feature set they are used to
- Not all underlying Django work is done
- Terminology improvements

- Soon, Virtaal to be released
- Better file management
- Making first release for new Web release on the Django platform
Fred's comments
- Hooking up AMO with SVN with scripts that Dan and Wil wrote
- Trying to include localizable html files
- Make it easier to add project
Gandalf comments
- Making AMO work with normal Gettext
- Writing patches for AMO to use normal Gettext
- Pootle autodiscovered the languages for AMO
- Created Bugzilla account for locomotion
- Do the same for SUMO
- Investigate how Pootle would work with new LOL formats
- May investigate the po-->DTD conversion scripts and minimize the diffs when it comes time to the Hg
Questions
- Was an user experience person ever engaged to look at the Pootle UE and UI?
- Some designers mocked up about 5 versions, but an important learning was that none of the designers had ever done any translation
- Changes have been made on the most frequent request that were made
- Look and feel changes from Dan and Wil last year
- Current layout is still similar

- HTML conversions scripts haven't been used much, so please let us know any difficulties
- Difficulties in adding new projects are partially addressed
- AMO and SUMO gettext
