I am not a programmer, but I do have HTML/XHTML/CSS skills and completed my General IT certificate in September of 2006. My goal is to obtain a BA in either Project Management or Web Application Development. I have returned to school and am looking at a career change.
I have experience with creating processes and procedures and feel I can best help out with documentation/help files/faq type stuff. I am looking forward to the new features SeaMonkey 1.5 will include. My only let down was the loss of an integrated calendar.
This isn't the first storm the Suite has had to weather, and I feel it will come through this storm okay, too.
I have been using SeaMonkey 1.1.1 in browser-only mode and shamefully confess that my e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc. is through Outlook 2003. I needed an integrated solution for my contacts, e-mail, etc. and found Outlook to be the only option. I know spend time looking for alternatives so I can migrate back to the complete SeaMonkey package. Oh, I also download the 1.5a zip file every week or so and play around with it.
I have completed my General IT certificat/degree in September, 2006. I should have my BA by the end of 2009. The skills I see being of use on this project from my courses are web development, software development and project management. Once I feel I can assist in other areas, I will sign myself up to do more. For now, documentation is still the best way for me to contribute.
