Product
- Meeting with the Firefox team - positive outcome, they want Talkilla and the quicker the better!
- Goals defined for MWC and development dependencies identified/planned
- InstantShare board created, next cards up for estimation on Wednesday
- Meeting with Tauni on Firefox accounts: no plan to support Google Chrome, or phone numbers as IDs, or store contacts. We are setting-up a follow-up call with Chris Karlof to discuss potential developments
- Setting-up bi-monthly meetings with Maire team to align
Goals & Roadmap Priorities
Rough top-level goals:
- End Q2: Ship Talkilla (instant share + mozilla service)
- Q3/4: Add a BYOS provider
Risks
- Need non-trivial number of regular users providing feedback loop
- Intermittent failures
- Fixed the major ones, and have more debugging info
- firefox schedule if more changes required (Fx 30 to Aurora April 28)
- scope of general release
- Getting the right scope for releasing in 30.
- Tab streaming (either via WebRTC or BrowserMirror)
- If we need this for shipping, it's one of the biggest known risks, needs most attention soonest
- Localisation (required for Nightly landing?)
- Is there any FF UI needed before it is moved across to Aurora? (3/17 for Nightly 30)
- Website issues - how much does L10n need to keep up, how does it fit into release cycles?
