one thing I've been thinking about a lot lately is how much worse writing is on a tablet. of course the software keyboards suck, but worse is that they take up half the screen and then the text areas further punish you by being too narrow or positioned in the wrong part of the available vertical space.

one solution I've been thinking about is to just fullscreen the writing area so it takes up all of the available space not used by the software keyboard. or maybe to let that be user configurable but auto scrolling so the typed text cannot fall out of view.
