I don't think we're satisfying "No surprises" or "Sensible Defaults". F1, by default, automatically bookmarks any link you share. This doesn't seem too bad for stuff you're tweeting or posting to Facebook, but I don't think it's expected for Gmail, especially in Private Browsing Mode. As to this being a 'surprise', there's nothing in any of the webpages, blog posts, etc, that suggest we auto-bookmark this stuff. I learned about it from reading bug 644769. --Zandr

So, a read of the privacy policy says we have access to the content of the messages (which we do, as I understand the architecture), and keep them for 30 days. This is another thing that seems OK for twitter and Facebook, but not so much for Gmail. --Zandr
