I really think that session saving should be released for Firefox 1.1 or latest 1.5 This is an absolute important feauture, as it is real time saving and can be usefull for almost everyone. If you have a lot of tabs open, and you have to go, it is great to be able to save all that and find it later again like it was.

IE7 will probably have this, as they are going to have tabs. If they'll have this feauture first, a lot of useres that still uses IE will enjoy this and see Firefox don't have this and think IE is better.

IF firefox implement that first, I think A LOT of IE useres could be converted to Firefox, as it is a feature a lot of people are waiting for.

Tabbed browsing is the first step, session saving is the needed second step.

The Software Update section of the PRD needs some updating now to reflect the decision to do more in Fx 1.1. As I can't say I'm too familiar with what exactly will happen, I'll leave that to someone else to sort out! --Chrisblore 12:56, 5 May 2005 (PDT)

I think it would also be essential to allow for system-wide profiles/theme/extensions/search plugins vs. the ones for individual users. Administrators should be able to install system wide themes etc., should be able to pre-set certain preferences and to lock down preferences or installed components. Also, profiles should finally be fully relative (at least on Linux): no full paths to file names in the profile settings and e.g. a command line option to set the profile root. Site permissions should get managed in a more user friendly way grouped by sites or "zones". That passwords, cookies, image permission are currnetly handled in different dialogs has only technical reasons but is user unfriendly and clumsy. Instead, there should be a way to group sites into zones and then to manage all the different site-specific permissions and data to zones or sites. Tab blocker

I recently encountered "Tab ads" or at least thats what I like to call it. Its basically a pop up in a tab. I have only seen it once and may have been the settings on FX. However tab ads seems like the next logical step for spammers. Tab blocker (similar to a pop up blocker) may be a feature that should be looked into.
