New Hires

Project Status
- Overview (2 min brief update)
Desktop Firefox (Juan)
- Firefox 4
- Should be testing beta 4 build candidates
- Respin this morning for Input extension max version bump, needed.
- Testing results should hold valid
- build 3 candidates later today
- Shipping Monday at the earliest
- Don't call it Beta N. "Latest Beta" should suffice.
- Al: Happy bday!
Maintenance and Security (Al)
- Firefox 3.5.12 / 3.6.9
- Finally hit code complete in the last 24 hours.
- Team (Al) is currently verifying security, critical, and blocking bugs.
- First official builds scheduled for Tuesday, August 24.
- Al's birthday is tomorrow. Everyone wish Al a happy birthday.
Browser Technologies (Tony)
- Fennec (aakash)
- Possible Alpha 1 build available in nightly form to test
- Blockers found, today so Alpha will be moved back until they're fixed
- Sync (tracy)
- 1.4.4 is integrated into Fxbeta4 builds (testing under way)
- Test Pilot (tracy)
- 1.0.1 appears incompatible with beta4 (respinning a build 3)
- Jetpack (ayan)
- Final jetpack integration script for Mac/Unix up for review. bug 584479
- Windows script up for review as well. bug 588222
- SDK 0.7 RC1 to be released today.
- Flightdeck 1.0a4 pushed to production yesterday.
- Crossweave (ayan)
- Start writing tests by next week.

- Working on 5.11.8; freeze the 20th, push 26th
- SUMO
- Shipping 2.2.2 soon; see bug 587824 for the ever-changing release date :-(

- Almost ready to ship; waiting on bug 587167 before finalizing testing
QA Services (Marcia)
- Meetups
- Mountain View WebQA Meetup in the works for September - stay tuned.
- Crash Investigation
- Tomcat and Marcia got bugs filed for new crashes introduced in B3 thanks to chofmann's helpful report which will eventually become part of crash-stats.
- Community Planning
- QMO 3 Meetings planned for the QA Work Week in September

- Video Work
- Parts of International Promo video will be reshot during work week with the soccer ball and integrated into the main video.
- Any remote folks that want to work on team videos while they are here will need to coordinate time with Rainer. Rainer indicated he would like to have a set time in the afternoon to work on these. More info to come after work week schedule is flushed out.

- Beta4 will most likely contain bug 587938 which renders pages like Facebook unusable. We have a reviewed and approved fix which will land on nightlies hopefully as soon as the tree clears from the recent downtime, but unless there's a build3 of beta4 which will then take this one as a ride-along, this will only be in beta 5.
- Now that Surkov's back from vacation, we can also attack regression bug 580464 and bug 580535.
- FX 3.6.9
- Landed patch for bug 503428 which mainly affects Thunderbird.

Test Automation (Geo)
- Mozmill 1.4.2
- 1.4.2 beta 4 released
- 1.4.2 release imminent, likely to be renamed to 1.5

- Continuing to find and fix breakage against new FF4 builds
- Backporting L10N support to 1.9.2 (finished) and 1.9.1 (underway)
