QA Services Team Meeting
- November 3, 2010
- Attendees:
Discussion Items
Project Status
CrashKill [tomcat/marcia]
- Sheila and Marcia held a brief crashkill meeting on Monday. There was discussion of some new bugs on the radar as well as some that might be of concern for B7.
- Marcia contacted Paul at Adobe regarding Bug 572134
- Tomcat: Raised some Concerns to Release Leads about bug 596863 to drivers re: beta 7
- Lots of crash and problem investigation going on
Accessibility Status Update [marco]
- Made some headway on bug 606082 and bug 606125, which crept up after bug 570275 was fixed. These will be regressions visible in beta 7, but hopefully fixed for beta 8.
- Also, we were not allowed to land bug 597963 and bug 608201, which both contain crash fixes, for beta 7. So if these show up in beta 7 in Crash stats, they can be considered fixed. They have Beta8 blocking status and have patches ready to land. As soon as the tree reopens, they'll be landing on trunk.
Community Building/Events (ideas and progress) [marcia/tomcat]
- Expecting the first draft of the "Making Mozilla Better" workbook template today from Rhonda.
- Probably should follow up with chofmann after his trip to see about whether a South American event is happening sometime next year.
- A Testday will be scheduled for this Friday. Kevin Brosnan will be the lead and the topic will be Web apps. Marcia will write the announcement. Would like help from the rest of the QA team to moderate.
- Tomcat:
- Workshops and TechTalk Planning for 2011 started
- Planning for CeBIt 2011 & Mozilla on full steam
- Next Munich Meetup November 26 - first time after the move to Munich :))
- Discussion about a Munich Open Government Day
QA Videos [marcia]
- Not much progress this week on the "Making Mozilla Better" video. Rainer is heavily booked with other projects due to a marketing event (Laura Mesa's event). The plan is to try to do some filming on Friday if possible.
QMO [aakashd]
