[Florin] August 15th is a national holiday in Romania, so we will not be at work. August 15th is also Beta 7 day. How can we handle this? Can we move Beta 7 to Thursday? -[mschifer] We will cover in MTV. [Florin] Since Alexandra will be on vacation (August 11th-19th), we need someone to give OP rights on IRC to myself (:FlorinMezei), Andrei Vaida (:avaida) and ioanachiorean. Channels: #testday, #qa, #mozillians, #romania, #firefox, #remo [mschifer[ tracy will take care of this. [kevin] will chase down an IRC op and have the ownership moved to current staff.

  • Aaron needs assistance starting an effort to collect testing feedback from an APK posted in bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1026305 - an effort to use gralloc on Android for rendering hardware accelerated OMX video frames (tl;dr should improve video stability)
    • how does this interact with the intern project to use java decoding of the frames on recent Android 4.x?
      • This is only hardware color conversation where available. May reduce crashes and boost performance.

ESR (Fx 24.7 + Fx 31)

Security

  • BlackHat/DefCon conferences underway
  • Continued SSL compatibility testing
  • Shumway test planning

Automation

  • Closed 8 bugs (4 P1) last week, did progress on several P1 bugs
  • 3 TPS new tests have patches up for review - part of this quarter's goal
  • Tested all locales for beta (functional and remote) in order to create the blacklist, sorted out results, filed bugs and we have a few batches of 10 that we can add already

Stability

  • Kairo out this week.
