    • Fennec 44 Beta 7 Signed off last week without any issues
    • Fennec 44 Beta 8 Signed off last week without any issues
    • All features are on track for 44 - one feature had a bug that was not uplifted yet and after we investigated it and talked to Liz - we were told it got back out and iwll be in 45 only
    • Dropping Android 3.x in Firefox 46 (Pushed back from Firefox 45)
    • At the same time we are dropping support for Android 4.0.1 (4.0.3+ is still supported)

Project Updates

  • Metrics / Dashboards (KaiRo)
  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • We had some large issues on Socorro in the last weeks, crashes were collected but not all were processed as intended. This is fixed now and some data for Jan 2 and 3 is still to be backfilled. Data for Dec 30 - Jan 1 will stay wrong. Actual crashes were only lost on Dec 30.


  • Desktop Automation (whimboo)
  • EME automation + YouTube MSE automation (sydpolk)
    • Firefox Media Tests are now in Mozilla Central (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1235606)
    • Harnesses for media-tests (using github) will land in m-c soon.
    • Need to update those harnesses to use the tests in tree.
    • And then we can put these tests in mozmill-ci, which will give us more flexibility in the future.
    • These tests will be handed to the media development team by the end of this quarter.
  • Mobile
  • Firefox Engineering QA (RyanVM/Rares) - read only
    • Working on test plan for Fx45 e10s experiment

  • finally seem to be good on crashes

Beta (Fx44) (Desktop - KaiRo Mobile - Ioana/Kevin)

  • e10s experiment was visible in crash-stats to some degree (which is good as it confirms that it actually took place) but would idsturb stability and other quality in the last 2 weeks of the beta cycle, so we are trying hard to not run experiments like that in this phase.
  • more strict rules for beta uplifts in place, targeted to increase quality, if this works well it could be done more extensively
