Removal of OS security dialog for Windows
Owner: Brian
- 1/25 decision for Firefox 11: we cannot land on beta without the extra MAR checks asked by security being landed, so no landing on 11.
- Tests are all passing now for updater and service with signing and product, channel, version checks!
- Product, channel, version MAR checks are all implemented per rstrong's suggestion.
- Summarized the suggestion and implementation in the ticket.
- Product description task is implemented as well as indeterminate progress bar.
- Recently added 10 reviews for rstrong (sorry Ehsan and Rob)
- Remaining for me is just review comments, testing and putting the right certs in updater.exe depending on channel name.
- Next week I expect to not spend too much time on updater stuff.
- QA (Simona Badau)
- testing ongoing, nothing new to report
- not uplifting to Fx11, will ride the train to Fx12
