The Metaphore
Together, we build Firefox
The Stunt
- Before the show, put colored/glow tape on the floor outlining a firefox.
- During the final set, direct everyone to NOT stand on the tape.
Given a full auditorium, this should force the crowd into a firefox logo.
Before the event
The borders should be about 500cm wide, to allow for a distinguisable gap in the crowd.
Dayglow or glow in the dark tape is needed, so it can be seen in the dark and crowded venue.
Needed info
- Floor area of venue
- Expected attendence
- Does the venue mind if we put some tape on the floor?
Materials
- Measuring tape capable of ~50m
- string/twine for creating grid to layout tape
- Wide (like duct tape) glow tape, amount depends on size of logo
Procedure
How will we get a firefox logo made out of tape?
- Layout grid using string, cooresponding to a grid on paper
- Fill in each box of the grid with needed tape cooresponding to computer generated grid/logo
During the event
Needed info
- Can we coordinate with the headlining act to direct the crowd?
Materials
- Various people to film the stunt
- From the stage
- From the audience
- From the Fox
- Photographers
Procedure
Bonuses
- Have audience give us photos/videos in exchange for shwag (stickers?)
- Booth with digital camera card readers
- Have audience clap/jump/dance to a song in the shape of the firefox logo
Fallback plan
If the venue is not big enough, or not enough people show up, we will still have a sweet glow in the dark firefox logo on the ground!
