Location of Work (where do you reside?): Michael lives in San Antonio, Texas; David lives in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
Talk Length (please choose between 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes): 60 minutes
Summary:
Having great online support will be a critical part of the success of Firefox OS. Instead of answering thousands of individual questions, we can create a few good support articles that help people faster, with less effort. The articles act like a force field that protects local support communities from being overwhelmed by questions.
You don't have to be a master of the English language or even know much about Firefox OS to help! In this session you will work together in small groups to get Firefox OS running on your computers and write a simple English support article for an app. Documentation is simple and fun. We'll show you the basics so you can continue to contribute when you get back home.
How your session furthers the MozCamp Goals: This is a participation-driven workshop that will grow our number of people helping with support of Firefox OS on SUMO.
Expected Outcome or Deliverable: At least three Firefox OS apps documented in draft form. More people aware of SUMO's support model and how easy and fun it is to help write, edit, and localize support content.
Desired Audience Type or Skill-set: Anyone who is curious about Firefox OS and wants to help Mozilla have a successful initial launch of the mobile OS. Anyone interested in learning how to support users.
Equipment Needs (Video projector already included): working wireless connection
