  • autophone-{1,2,3}.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com installed in racks with new usb cards.
  • Installed Ubuntu 14.04 to match Google's recommendations

  • Need to configure the Autophone instances to report to phonedash-dev.allizom.org, treeherder.allizom.org for testing. Will have autophone-{1,2,3} running staging by EOD.
  • Ubuntu 14.04 doesn't use systemd for managing services. Need to write some upstart scripts to start, stop the services.
  • Need to buy some USB-C to USB-A cables
  • Need to buy some Cooler Master cooling pads.
  • Should be on track to switch over from Mac Mini autophone.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com to autophone-{1,2,3}.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com Thursday.

  • Rooting
    • Setup Android build environment on autophone-3
    • Google temporarily banned me for bandwidth usage! It is a terrible inconvenience to be able to pull android source at 50Mb/s. ;-)
    • Built Angler android-6.0.0_r11 and flashed to Nexus 6P but got same fail to complete booting as before.
    • Next step is to attempt to flash custom recovery and install SuperSU.
