Meeting Details
- 9:00 AM Mountain View Time (UTC -7)
- 650-903-0800 x92 Conf# 206 (US/INTL)
- irc.mozilla.org #l10n for backchannel
- Attendees: Pike, Jeff, Gandalf, Staś
Talking points
- .orig file (source1 vs. source2 diff) for 1.0 discussion
- vagrant demo box on windows
- Progress on selecting pilot project? Options were Mortar or ReMo apps.
- Evangelism for this week?
Notes
- We're ready to demo L20n in Python.
- ReMo has declined localization
- Mortar is not a project we can use.
- a project based on mortar would be great
- Pike will look into if hacking has begun on Mozilla events app
- Pontoon?
- Client could be localized with L20n, but it only has 5 strings. Stas's work would need to be finalized (i.e., Javascript libraries/compiler).
- Server could be localized with Python libraries
- Using L20n as l10n framework in Pontoon would be very limited right now.
- What do we do about picking up Stas's tasks?
- Highest priorities:
- Find a demo project
- Resource adjustments to land Javascript features (i.e., do we need more people here?)
Action items
- Gandalf to get help with vagrant demo boxes on Windows when arriving at MV
- Pike will look into if hacking has begun on Mozilla events app
- Jeff will talk with chofmann about resources and will help look for projects.
- Stas and Gandalf will coordinate to work on Javascript compiler next week.
