Weekly Gaia Development Meeting

Talking this week

~30-45 minutes: Casey Yee and Przemek Abratowski, Firefox OS UX team, will present on the forthcoming visual direction for Firefox OS, on styles built in code for multiple form factors, and more. The Firefox OS visual refresh is high priority for the 2.0 release later this year, and this presentation will add context and detail about what "visual refresh" means.    Working on Camera features for madai on the branch. If features are stable on branch by end of week we will land on master. Several features are in code review stages from Partner contributions

   Continue to work on 1.3 and 1.4 bugs and writing tests. Tarako related bugs (1.3T) are coming in this week for gallery, will try to investigate and fix those.

   A 1.3+ patch landed that changes how activity works when sending a message. We need QA on this (verifyme was already added): https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=974733

   DSDS work like crazy for 1.4

   ongoing performance improvement for thumbnail generation thanks to the new downsample-and-decode feature in Gecko. This is necessary for Tarako.
