Why should I become a Firefox Friend?

If you're here, it means you're already passionate about Firefox. We want to make it easier for you to discover, share and create Firefox-related content.

Does it cost anything to participate?

Nope! Participating in the Firefox Friends program is simple, fun, and free.

Will I be compensated for my participation? What will this look like?

Since we believe authentic posts are more important than ones we’d pay for, we do not offer financial compensation for participating in the program. However, we want to offer incentives to Firefox Friends who participate! These may take a variety of forms, such as Mozilla and Firefox gear and even access to special events. Incentives may be offered at random or to provide you with an incentive to increase your participation.

Why do all my posts include the #FirefoxFriends hashtag?

We include the #FirefoxFriends hashtag in all activities in order to comply with the Federal Trade Commission's disclosure regulations.

Do I need to complete every suggested activity?

No, complete what you want! We want your participation to follow your interests, passions and voice. Pick the ones that interest you the most.

What if I don't have a blog/Twitter account/etc.?

Your Firefox Friends Home page allows you to connect to a number of different social accounts. As long as you use at least one or two accounts regularly, we'd love to have you participate.

Can I participate if I am not actively involved on social media?

If you love Firefox and love talking about it with your friends, but you don't already use social media, keep doing what you're doing! We're thrilled to have you as a Firefox Friend offline. However, this program is best suited for people who use social media on a regular basis.

Do I need a lot of Twitter followers to participate?

You don't need to be a Twitter superstar to be a Firefox Friend - just someone who's passionate about Firefox and wants to talk about it!

Can I change the content that's recommended?

Of course! You are in control of the content you post. All of the activities will already have some content included, and please adapt it to fit your style and voice. If there's ever content we don't want you to change, we'll let you know.

Can I participate using my mobile device?

Yes! The platform is mobile-responsive and works using your mobile device's web browser. It doesn't even require an app – simply use the same link as you use on your computer to access the site.

How long do I need to commit to participating in this program?

It's up to you. We'd love to have you participate as long as you want to.
