- Google Play's is starting to roll out a series of service-based APIs, all powered by OAuth, allowing app developers to use a standard interface to use Google-based IDs in their apps.
- The latest Chrome Beta now offers WebRTC and Track support for HTML5 video.
- In an effort to win more adoption within businesses and other large organizations, Google now offers telephone support for Google Apps customers
- This week's stable version of Chrome now supports ICCv2 colour profiles
Microsoft
- Microsoft unveiled TypeScript, a Javascript source processor that allows large development teams to more easily create more strongly-typed code.
OpenWebOS
- The OpenWebOS project, as promised, released version 1.0 of the open source version of the mobile operating system originally developed by Palm. Here's a video of it ported to a Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Opera
- Opera 12.10 beta was released, offering SPDY support, touch support on Mac and Windows 8 Classic mode, the Share button in Mac OS X Mountain Lion, Mac Retina display support as well as the Fullscreen and Page Visibility APIs. It also supports a number of webkit-prefixed CSS properties
Yandex
- Yandex, the large Russia-based search engine, has launched its own WebKit-based browser, offering translations between 9 languages.
