Stability
- Crash reporting is broken on Windows/AArch64
- [read-only] MIssion Control production (https://missioncontrol.telemetry.mozilla.org) still has problems staying up to date, should be fixed by 1.8 deploy: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543541. For now recommended workaround is to continue using the dev server at https://data-missioncontrol.dev.mozaws.net/#/
Nightly
firefox nightly summary score: 6.71, Tuesday 6.86
- P1 web storage crash is still under active investigation - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1542706
- Not much else to call out for nightly
- Latest nightly crash triage https://wiki.mozilla.org/NightlyCrashTriage/2019Q2
- top crash from earlier this week (called out on Tuesday) fixed by backout
Beta
firefox beta summary score: 3.51, Tuesday 3.66
- Quota manager crash in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1536596 seems to be reduced in volume, no longer tracking
- Investigating one Core | XP Connect crash signature which is still happening in the latest beta after a fix landed. Will report back next week.
Release
firefox release summary score: 1.99, Tuesday 2.03
- Nothing specific to call out in 66.0.3
Mobile
- Crash rate is calculated based on usage hours (the time Firefox is actively used).
- Usage hours will be significantly lower on Fennec than on desktop Firefox, so we can't compare mobile rates to desktop rates.
- Release
fennec release summary score: 16.95, Tuesday 17.12
- Samsung phones running API 27 are crashing, filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543481
- Filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543688 to account for an OOM crash, might not be much we can do about it.
- Beta
fennec beta summary score: 84.19, Tuesday 91.22
- Still early in b9, not much to call out https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/topcrashers/?product=FennecAndroid&version=67.0b9&process_type=any
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1472526 continues to be quite visible, however it appears further outreach to Qualcomm may be necessary
as it is another manifestation of signatures that we have seen before
- Nightly
fennec nightly summary score: 65.97, Tuesday 67.46
- Nightly rate coming down after spike at the beginning of the week (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1542440)
