Schedule Update
- 51 Beta 9 is about to ship (desktop, mobile)
- beta 10 should build Thurs, ship Friday
- No betas next week
Add-ons
Stability
- Top Mac Crash affecting new Macbook Pros - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1320048 - an Apple radar bug was filed, but there is a comment in the bug indicating that we should be building with a different SDK - who should follow up on this?
Aurora
overall rate 6.92 (browser 1.22, content 5.70)
- Some spikes in Flash - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1323808
Beta
overall rate 0.98 (browser 0.72, content 0.26)
[51.0b8]
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1290403 continues to be the top crash
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1308800 has increased in Beta and has a lot of needinfos, but no progress
- NI'd a few more people on this one
Release
overall rate 1.06 (browser 0.75, content 0.31)
- LSP malware is still in the top crashers list (#2) with > 10k reports
- There is a fix in the works. Too risky to consider uplifting in Release 50 or even 51 (TBD)
- https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/signature/?signature=js%3A%3Ajit%3A%3AIonBuilder%3A%3AinspectOpcode&date=%3E%3D2016-12-13T16%3A33%3A00.000Z&date=%3C2016-12-20T16%3A33%3A00.000Z&_columns=date&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform&_columns=reason&_columns=address&_sort=-date&page=1#summary
- Signature correlated with AMD CPUs (the infamous AMD CPU bug)
- Include this as a scenario to be addressed by silent update, in this case we'd want a Firefox rebuild (to workaround the windows issue) without needing to change the version and still push to end-users
- Current LSP blocking work: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1238735
- We could land that ^^ in 53 now and do more testing in early Jan.
Nightly
[marcia]
- Top crash https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1316267 should be fixed by backout

- Reproducible crash https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1324422 was filed and fixed.
