- we did in the past for OS specific bugs (example: only update Windows users)
Add-ons
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1280125 - New Flash plugin block live today (there are reports that the new flash version causes more unresponsive plugin warnings in firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/712040 )
Stability
We have a fair number of startup crashes that seem related to McAfee: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1131180 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1277897. And a fair number of startup crashes that seem related to COMODO: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274630 - should this bug be highlighted to someone for a block decision?
- we have a plan to improve testing on that. no ETA but we are discussing about that
Aurora
overall rate still skewed through crashes submitted by infobar- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1269998
Beta
overall rate: 1.35 (red), browser 1.22 - content 0.14
48.0b1:
- persistent startup crash in NS_InitXPCOM2 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1262731 is the top score crasher; at 1.13% (was over 10% at the start of the cycle)
- icudt56l.dat file missing from the program folder
- should probably be considered blocking 48 until we really know what's going on there
- A few new crashes filed today: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1281749 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1281751 which is a dupe
- a11y crash in mozilla::a11y::Accessible::InsertChildAt https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279216 regressing in 48 is at 2%
- crash in nsCycleCollector::ScanWhiteNodes https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1266882 is at 1.12%
- increased 30x since the 48 aurora cycle compared to previous cycles & now on the rise in beta as well
- startup crash in je_free | js::ctypes::CData::Finalize https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1131180 with mcafee siteadvisor is 0.41% <- higher than that if we sum the crashes from bug 1277897
- shutdownhang in mozilla::net::nsHttpConnectionMgr::Shutdown https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279163 is 8.7%
- needs backout of bug 698882 on 48 as a fix
