Add-ons
Stability
Aurora
Overall rate (still 48.0a2): 1.84 (orange) - browser: 1.16, content: 0.68
Beta
Overall rate (still 47.0b): 1.08 (orange) - browser: 0.92, content: 0.15
48.0b1:
- startup crash in mozalloc_abort | NS_DebugBreak | NS_InitXPCOM2 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1262731 is 10% of crashes in beta 1 so far
- shutdownhang mozilla::net::nsHttpConnectionMgr::Shutdown https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279163 is 12%
- we had the same issue in 47.0b2 when bug 698882 was uplfited; was backed out again afterwards, but now it is riding the trains
- startup crash in je_free | js::ctypes::CData::Finalize https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1131180 is #5 with 1.6%
- volume of this signature was somewhat increasing during the 48.0a2 cycle as well
- crash in operator new | ... | mozilla::a11y::Accessible::InsertChildAt https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279216 is #10 with 1.2%
- signature regressing in 48 & happening on startup 2/3rds of the time
Release
Overall rate (still mostly 46): 0.99 (orange)
- crash in nsContentPolicy::CheckPolicy https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1258111 is 0.9% in 47.0
- this started rising yesterday from a normal 10-50 daily crashes to over 900 crashes; spike was in 46.0.1 as well, so the increase isn't related to the 47 release, but some external factors
47.0:
- crash in OOM | large | NS_ABORT_OOM | Buffer::try_realloc https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1268616 is 0.5%
- signature is new in 47
- crash in UMDevice::SetShaderResources https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1267997 is 0.4% & more frequent so far in 47.0 than in prior release cycles
Mobile
- Release has a crash rate of 1.6 with one day of data. previous release was average 1.52, median is 1.48
- Beta does not have enough data
- Aurora has not been released
- Nightly should be looking better with the backout
