Schedule Update
- FF21.0b7 for Desktop/mobile is with QA
- FF21.0 RC build# 1 has gone to build llast night
- FF21.0 RC build# 2, go-to-build today (need to confirm with releng)
Add-ons
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=867337 Plugin CTP request: Flash 11.5.*-11.6.602.175. Signed off by QA. Go?
- QA prefer's to push this out later next week
Stability
Aurora
- No concerns at this time.
Beta
- A rather impressive list of mostl JS/GC-related signatures have been rising with 21.0b6, including PushMarkStack and MarkInternal (bug 868369), EnterMethodJIT, and others.
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=868369 has a patch that should help, and the https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=851788 backout was backed out again. Probably better to eat that crash than the others.
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=859099 (DoStopPlugin) crashes are gone after https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=863792 uplift.
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=851934 (Outlook.com) switched signatures with 21.0b6 (to one previously seen on other branches). This bug continues to be a high concern. bajaj has poked dvander again, as Fr3dY (the users helping us there) has posted full dumps on 4/25 and David hasn't replied in any way since then (other than marking the comments with the links to the dumps as private).
- Check with Naveed for reassignment
- Overall crash rate of 21.0b6 is good, though.
Release
- Looks pretty good for the moment, Outlook.com continues to be a concern (see above), the Crossrider crash has risen back up for a bit but hopefully will diminish over time as they fixed their add-on.
Mobile
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=782223 (NvGl214081946277, Nexus 7, JB) has been around for a while, recently changed signature and is pretty high on beta (#3)
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=845867 (libGLES_hgl.so, Samsung Galaxy Y and Ace, GB) is pretty high on release, also top 3 crash on ARMv6
- More stagefright blocklist additions are on beta, will mitigate even more crashes.
- All in all, mobile is pretty boring at this point - in a good sense. :) +1
QA
Desktop
Testday:
- Testday for Fx21 Plugin compat/stability, please join #testday today to help
Firefox 21:
- Working on 21b7 today, planning to sign-off and ship tomorrow morning
- Will start testing 21#1 and 21#2 after 21b7 signed off, priority will be given to 21#1
- Trying to give each build a full day of dogfooding with our netbooks since the Radeon crashes are somewhat elusive
QAWANTED:
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698296 crash in js::SweepBackgroundThings @ js::gc::Arena::finalize -- new on our radar, old crash that seems to be spiking in 21 beta, will coordinate testing today
