Silent Update
- Lessen the display of app update UI - follow-up on request from Asa (yesterday)
- patch ready to change prompt period from 12 to 24 hours
- Rob will review today and then ready for Aurora and Beta
- Delay showing the update dialog for partial update
- need to investigate further before making any changes, will investigate
roundtable
- handoff to RelEng missing l10n milestones with 7.0, 7.0.1.
- putting manual check in place before starting tagging/building - while we figure out what if anything can be automated.
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=657472 (silent-er update) safe for Beta, according to Rob. patch being re-worked. We will take on Aurora too but we don't want this on trunk. Trunk will be a separate bug.
- Alex and Christian are discussing the future of these meetings. Initial thought:
- Release management triages every day
- Taking notes, explaining reasoning, etc
- Release management leaves contentious bugs alone and puts an initial thinking in the bug
- We have Tuesday afternoon Thursday morning PDT meetings
- Deal with contentious bugs
- Invite people to contest their bugs
- Focus on the bugs we are tracking, with explicit DRIs
- Release management triages every day
