Stage 1: Definition
1. Feature overview
We currently do not provide adequate warning to users that new third-party provided add-ons have been installed. This project will ensure that users opt-in to all add-ons that aren't installed through the Firefox UI.
This feature falls primarily in the Experience category (from the "Discover, Experience, and Connect" vision statement.)
2. Users & use cases
- Make users aware when new add-ons have been installed that they may not know about
- Users should be able to opt out of such add-ons before the add-on's code has a chance to run
3. Dependencies
`
4. Requirements
- Developed UI must pass UI review
- Feature should be covered by automated tests
- Feature must have passed security review
Non-goals
- Support removing other applications on the system from within Firefox
