Jason's Update
(Callahad filling in for Jason this week)
- Submit your Q1 goals in Workday!
- Does everyone understand the staff talk calendar?
- Link at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Devrel/Resources#Team_Calendars
- Whenever you're giving a talk, add it to both the Travel/PTO calendar AND to the Mozilla Staff DevRel Calendar.
- Best practices to be added to the Wiki later today.
- Emphasizing speaking engagements over attendance or staffing booths in our reporting
- Filling out the calendar helps Flaki amplify speaking
- Potch's browser engine post moving draft into Hacks today / tomorrow
Announcements / Requests for Help / Discussion Topics
- [flaki] Made a CFP deadline twitterbot: https://twitter.com/mozTechCFPs +source: http://github.com/flaki/mts
- Should we also have an IRC bot messaging summaries? Maybe. Predictions mixed.
- [belen] how do we "tag" with DevAdvocacy bugs in Github?
- [callahad] No solution yet, making it a Q1 goal of mine. Probably going to create a bot that we can @mention. Other ideas welcome.
- Maybe a global GitHub site search would work if we define a sufficiently unique term?
- For now, file a proxy bug on Bugzilla and set the "See Also" field to the GitHub issue URL
- A bot would be lovely. Or if there is a way to add them manually to the dashboard, that would work as well
Action Items
- [callahad] Update wiki re: calendar best practices
- Title Format: Name Action at Event
- E.g., Callahad Workshop at OpenWest
- KEEP YOUR NAME CONSISTENT -- mikee and dietrich
- Only ONE event per talk. Two talks at one event? Make two calendar entries.
- Only add your own events
- Title Format: Name Action at Event
- [callahad] Email devrel once done
- [dietrich] Give more team members ownership of the calendar to allow editing in more places
Non-Verbal Updates
( Consider tracking your activity in IRC by talking to the 'stanndups' bot in #devrel. Logs appear at http://www.standu.ps/project/devrel )
