Verbal Updates
Announcements / Requests for Help / Discussion Topics
- [Jen] Update on DevRel website progress – if you want to know what's up (eavesdrop) get a Basecamp login. Would like to set a meeting with Belén.
- [Jen] Update on Grid Inspector Tool — Would like to set a meeting with Potch.
- He is available :)
- [Potch] CascadiaJS was snazzy!
- [Callahad] WebCompat stats / talking points:
- Chrome only represents 50% of the aggregate desktop, tablet, and mobile web: http://gs.statcounter.com/#all-browser-ww-monthly-201506-201606 -- if you're only testing on Chrome, half of your customers won't be able to pay you money.
- Also, users may not have a choice: iOS, company laptops, library terminals, and smart devices all restrict browser options.

Last week:
- My favourite web audio insider is actually on holidays so it took longer to fact-check all the points in the web audio article. Done now! Waiting for reviews and then to formatting and publishing. People are getting excited already: https://twitter.com/supersole/status/762597192267919360 (14 likes for a vague tweet, not bad)
- Wrote a few interesting simple demos for the Web Audio examples repo: https://mozdevs.github.io/WebAudio-examples/ plus filed lots of follow up issues for other demos that we'll need writing to illustrate common Web Audio practices. If you want to take one of the issues and learn web audio, ping me! https://github.com/mozdevs/WebAudio-examples/issues
- Cancelling conferences that do not align with our line of work or seem unsafe
- Booking for other conferences
- Chasing and following people up, this is tiring
This coming week:
- Hopefully publishing the Web Audio article
- Going full steam on Servo Demos - fun fun fun https://mozdevs.github.io/servo-experiments/experiments/test-transformations/
