- Showcasing our stories (15 minutes)
- Interesting content on the value of stories from Cultivating Communities of Practice book:
- The best way to assess the value of a community of practice is by collecting stories.
- The key elements of a good story describe how knowledge resources are produced and applied.
- The three main elements:
- (1) the initial knowledge development activity to innovate, learn a skill, or solve a problem;
- (2) the knowledge resource generated by this activity--for example, a new insight, method, or relationship; and
- (3) how this resource was applied to create value. To make the story more complete as a measure of value, it helps to describe the initial problem and to explain what would have happened without the community.
- Have each one of us share for 2 minutes about our story ideas
- Do we need more storytelling support? I can invite Dia or someone else involved in the storyteller curriculum to join us if that's helpful
- whats the end goal/audience? blogs? project call? something else?
- telling that story in tandem since the partners are the ones who are benefitting from our work
- asking the partners tell this in tandem -- quotes from them as part of our story or a separate story that they tell that fits together with our
- growth is how is this impacting the project?
- how are we offering a platform for community (IE the wiki)
- "these are the things we do, these are the positive impacts"

- Debrief from discussion with HRBPs about lifecycle
- Feedback from other partners?
- I shared it with Maureen from UX/Marketplace to tremendous effect and am sharing it with more teams this week
- Please share with your partners if you haven't yet and provide feedback
- Request: May we add a section for community building (or re-purpose Grow Mozilla section) on the MoPo weekly updates and will everyone work to include regular updates from working groups?
- Yes, we can feel free to use that section of the Weekly agenda for updates -- we may want a verbal and a non-verbal section if we start adding lots of updates
