[18:33] <mschroeder> Okay, it's QA chat time. [18:34] <mschroeder> You can fin our agenda here: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:QA_Chat:2008-02-21 [18:35] <mschroeder> First topic is the testday. [18:36] <mschroeder> We have already 299 Litmus testcases run. [18:36] <mschroeder> Most of them by Lars. [18:36] <ctalbert> Go Lars go! [18:36] * mschroeder thinks of ctalbert in a cheerleader uniform. [18:37] <ctalbert> lol [18:37] <thetux> lol [18:38] <mschroeder> I think there were also some bugs filed, but I have't had a look. [18:38] <mschroeder> thetux: Did you find some defects while running the testcases? [18:39] <thetux> yes, i had some problems with "undo" [18:40] <thetux> i'm not sure if this is a linux issue [18:41] <mschroeder> thetux: You should file a bug, so we don't forget about it. [18:41] <thetux> so it would be nice if someone running windows at the moment tries the following: create an event, move it to another day and try to make it undo [18:41] <thetux> mschroeder: i have it in my todo-list [18:42] <thetux> in linux does neither ctrl+z work, nor the menu way with edit | undo [18:42] <mschroeder> thetux: thanks. Windows seems to have the same problem. [18:43] <nth10sd> hi Clint [18:43] <ctalbert> hi Gary [18:43] * nth10sd laughs at the thought of clint in cheerleader uniform [18:43] <thetux> the other failed test, failed last time, too. [18:44] <mschroeder> thetux: I corrected the testcase in Litmus. [18:44] <mschroeder> The Undo/Redo problems needs investigation. [18:45] <mschroeder> Andreas: Can you reproduce the problem? [18:45] <thetux> Drag&drop of full-day-event doesn't week view mode (we have a bug for this already) and Drag&drop tasks with(out) start (and due) date (this might be only a issue of useless litmus test) [18:46] <Andreas> Then I have to reboot one of my machines. one moment. [18:47] <mschroeder> Andreas: You don't have to reproduce now, but it would be great if you do tomorrow. I won't have time to do until Monday. [18:47] <nth10sd> (is it just me or am i the only one who can't mount the latest mac .dmg) [18:48] <mschroeder> nth10sd: I don't know if somebody tried to start Sunbird Mac nightly before. [18:48] <Andreas> The reboot is startet :-) [18:48] <ssitter> thetux: i can confirm. I can undo after adding or deleting an event but not after modifying [18:48] <nth10sd> mschroeder: the clobbered build worked, yes, but the latest build... hmmmmm think i should retry [18:49] <Andreas> I checked the mac issue in the office and the *.dmg files works for me. [18:52] <mschroeder> okay. Next topic: Test plan and QA working session for RC1. [18:52] <mschroeder> Should we have an official testday or a working session next week if we have a RC1? [18:53] <ssitter> thetux: could you file a bug please? [18:54] <thetux> official testday or working session is a good idea, before this we should redo the litmus testcases. I marked a lot unclear today. Would be nice if we could run all tests with RC1 for every OS [18:54] <Andreas> thetux: The undo bug is also reproducible on windows. [18:54] <thetux> ok, i'll make an entry in bugzilla [18:55] <mschroeder> thetux: I already edited some of the unclear testcases. [18:56] <thetux> mschroeder: :-) [18:56] <mschroeder> The testplan at http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:QA_Test_Plan_0.8 should help us to focus on certain aspects of testing RC1. [18:56] <mschroeder> I'll add some details how to test migration/update on Monday. [18:58] <mschroeder> Any ideas, opinions, or additions to the test plan? [18:58] <thetux> Andreas: can you check if this happens also if you modify tasks? [19:00] <Andreas> thetux: done -> same result. [19:00] <thetux> mschroeder: addition might be a list of litmus test that are still missing. for example these import/export test, which need special programs [19:01] <thetux> not everyone can run them [19:01] <thetux> Andreas: ok, thanks [19:02] <mschroeder> thetux: I think we can provide exports from those calendar clients so everybody can at least import. But I can add them to Import/Export interoperability topic in the schedule [19:03] <mschroeder> add the testcase# [19:04] <mschroeder> Anything else someone wants to bring up? [19:06] <nth10sd> mschroeder: probably more people should give comments if there's anything to point out for the draft release notes [19:07] <nth10sd> Andreas: mine's not mounting again. i'll try again [19:08] <mschroeder> End of QA chat. :) [19:08] <nth10sd> and i think a working session's a good idea. that'll give the code time to bake as well [19:09] <mschroeder> okay, then we'll probably have a QA working session next Thursday
