On Feb 26 2007 at 20:00, bl-bldxp01/trunk experienced a service outage for ~12 hours.
What was effected:
Tests of Firefox trunk on Windows.
What was the cause of the outage:
The tinderbox process was showing as <defunct> in the process table.
What will be done to prevent this in the future:
Coop restarted tinderbox in a new shell. Also applied all pending Windows updates, and updated the cygwin tools.
Apparently multi-tinderbox is known to hang on XP, so there is a shell script (tbox.sh) that should be used to start the process instead.
