Feature Requirements
- Enable notifications for incoming SMSs when SMS app is not launched
- Listen to incoming events and display them to the user
- Initial work here should be to enable this functionality
- Will require some UX specs on how to end up displaying all types of notifications (phone calls, SMS, 3rd party apps, etc.)
- Tracking the work in issue #686
